Congratulations to Alfie Ireland and Cambridge for the winning cover article of the Spring 2013 cycle! “The Square Kilometer Array: a Gift for both Astronomy and African Development?” sheds light on the the Square Kilometer Array, a giant telescope to extend thousands of kilometers over southern Africa and Australasia. While the project is poised to bring revolutionary changes to astronomy, Ireland considers the potential for the telescope to help usher prosperity into a region chronically plagued by slow economic development.
Thanks to all the chapters for their hard work and quality articles, whether or not they were chosen to be an international feature. Please look forward to seeing the cover article, and many other fascinating pieces, in the Spring 2013 issue of The Science in Society Review.
