After 45 years of searching, particle physicists have discovered what may be probably the Higgs Boson. Dr. Mark Oreglia, Professor in Physics, The Enrico Fermi Institute, and The College at the University of Chicago was among the select group of scientists who led the final leg of this hallowed journey at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. The Triple Helix invited Dr. Oreglia to discuss the significance of the Higgs Boson to his field and the current understanding of particles and forces.  200+ people were in attendance.
